So after 4 years, let's take a look at our sub $30 eBay backup camera...
Honestly, it still works! The only issue is that the glass lense appears to have fogged up. In daylight, it works with maybe 25% visibility. At night, it's still surprisingly good with the "nightvision" function.
In this video, we replaced the camera with the same style unit, comparing the fogged lens, and then tearing down the old unit to see exactly how it's constructed and confirming which pieces seemed to be compromised.
It was pretty fun to take this thing apart... hope it's fun and helpful.

Overall, I'm still impressed by this little camera unit and appreciate how it snaps into the existing light housing slot in our Escapes instead of having to drill new holes for mounting like some other styles of aftermarket cameras! Check it out for yourself :) Thanks!
